It’s been a funny end to the year.
This has been my most successful year yet. Ever. And not just financially. I’ve watched clients change how they lead, how their teams function, and how those shifts ripple into their families. Those moments still make me teary. Or maybe that’s just being over 40.
And then – this week – I hit a big disappointment.
I started building something new. I was excited. Energized. All in. And the company I partnered with turned out to be unable to deliver what they promised.
If you know me, you know my two non-negotiables: integrity and trust. Without those, there’s nothing to stand on.
I had options.
I could’ve told myself “This always happens to me.” Except that it doesn’t. That’s not my lens.
I could’ve stayed angry. I got angry. But I didn’t stay there.
I could’ve searched for the silver lining. Turns out, I don’t love silver linings. Sometimes “good enough” is just settling.
What I chose instead was clarity.
I ended the relationship and tried to recoup what I could. I won’t get my time back.
I’m not blaming myself. I am reminding myself that this is the cost of taking risks – and I’m still willing to pay it.
Because even this stretched me. It made me think bigger about how I can support you and reach more people. And that part matters.
As we head into 2026, I invite you to look back at what didn’t work in 2025 – not with judgment. With curiosity. Growth doesn’t live in staying safe forever.
Celebrate what did work. Dream bigger than you’ve been letting yourself. Take a risk again. Trust again.
You don’t need anyone else to make your year good.
You’re in the driver’s seat.
And if 2025 reminded you of that a little loudly…same.
