Let Go of the Guilt. You’re Doing Better Than You Think.
You know I think work/life balance is bullshit.
And if you don’t, you can catch up here.
What I’ve learned from coaching hundreds of high-performing, big-hearted humans is this: the goal isn’t to do everything perfectly. It’s to give what you’ve got—with intention.
Some days, you’re unstoppable. Crushing meetings, remembering all the school forms, even managing a real lunch that doesn’t come from your kid’s snack drawer.
And some days? You’re running on fumes. You’re out of white shirts for tie-dye day, your inbox is chaos, and you’re googling “urgent care near me” while reheating coffee for the third time.
Here’s the thing no one says enough:
If all you have is 50%, and you give 50%—you gave 100% of what you had. That matters. That counts. That is enough.
Not every day will be balanced, beautiful, or even remotely Instagrammable.
But you are still showing up. You are still leading. You are still loving. And sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is keep going without punishing yourself for not having more to give.
You’re not falling short.
You’re human.
And that version of you—imperfect, present, doing your best with what you’ve got?
That version is worthy. That version is powerful.
Let’s stop chasing perfect.
Let’s start honoring our effort.
Even when it looks like a mess.
Especially when it does.
