What’s something you’ve wanted for a long time but haven’t yet achieved?
Weight loss? Starting a business? Walking away from a miserable job? Learning to play piano?
Whatever it is, why haven’t you done it? Maybe it feels too hard. There’s not enough time. You don’t feel ready. You don’t know how. You’ve tried and quit.
Sound familiar?
Now, think about something you have done that you never thought possible.
Maybe you ran a mile. Got married. Took a promotion. Climbed a mountain. Took on a tough project.
Whatever it was, you wanted it badly enough to make it happen. You didn’t “get lucky”. You made it happen.
Jim Rohn said it best: “If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.”
Years ago, I wanted more focused time with my family. I also wanted to work full-time, use my brain, tap into my gifts, and do it all my way. It wasn’t a new dream, but it felt impossible. I had all the excuses: The timing wasn’t right. I didn’t know how. It was a pipe dream.
All those excuses were true. To me. Until they weren’t true anymore. Until I wanted it badly enough to figure it out.
The options were there all along—I just had to stop delaying and start doing.
Does this resonate with you? What’s something you’ve been putting off? What excuses are in your way?
No shame here. The first step is awareness. Reflect on what’s holding you back. Then, ditch the “shoulds” and imagine what life could look like if you finally did the thing.
What would it feel like?
How would your days change?
Who would you become?
Next, let’s chat. I’m opening a handful of private coaching spots in early 2025. Not ready for that? No problem—I offer free discovery calls to help you kickstart your journey. Prefer community? A new group coaching program launches February/March.
If you want it badly enough, you’ll find a way. I’d love to help. Let me know when you’re ready.
