Let’s not play pretend.
There’s a goal that’s been living rent-free in your head for months.
You’ve rearranged it on your to-do list 14 different times.
You’ve whispered “maybe next week” more than you’d care to admit.
And still… there it sits.
Maybe it’s finally launching the thing you know would make a difference.
Or scheduling coffee with that dream contact.
Or even carving out 20 minutes a day that’s just for you (radical, I know).
You lead teams. You manage a household. You can find the missing sock while answering a boardroom question on Q3 strategy.
But this goal?
It keeps sliding to the bottom of the pile—because no one else is asking for it.
Here’s the truth bomb:
If you don’t prioritize it, no one else will.
That’s why I’m a fan of giving your goal what it actually needs:
A damn date. To focus on it. To be bold. And to GET ‘ER DONE.
Put it on the calendar. Make it official. Show up like it’s a non-negotiable meeting with someone important—because it is.
Spoiler: that “someone” is you.
During that hour, you’re not cleaning the kitchen while half-emailing.
You’re not solving everyone else’s needs first.
You’re pouring your favorite drink, closing all the tabs, and tuning in.
Ask yourself:
– Why did this goal matter in the first place?
– What’s really getting in the way (besides laundry and life)?
– What’s one bold, tiny action I can take today?
Celebrate the smallest win.
Build momentum instead of waiting for a mythical free day.
And for the love of all things sticky-note—stop ghosting your own potential.
You don’t need a new planner.
You need presence.
And maybe a little fire under your feet.
This isn’t about doing more.
It’s about doing you—on purpose.
