Did you know that you’re wired for self-sabotage? It’s true. Part of your brain is designed to avoid risk, so it creates obstacles, making your dreams and goals feel unattainable.
When you CONSCIOUSLY desire something (your goal), your brain often SUBCONSCIOUSLY craves something else: staying comfortable where you are.
This inner conflict can sometimes keep you stuck, frustrated, and stagnant.
That’s why you often know, intuitively, exactly what you need to do, but you just can’t seem to do it. And so, you resist the thoughts, feelings, and actions that could bring you closer to what you want.
What happens then? You blame external factors, or the people around you, for your lack of progress.
But here’s the kicker: the real issue is YOU. Yes, I said it! You’re human, and it’s easier to blame than to take responsibility for your own self-sabotage.
This is why the work I do with my clients is so powerful. It’s also why the work I do on myself is crucial – yes, even I have a coach!
Just last week, I was navigating a maze of my own thoughts and told my coach it felt like she was stretching my brain in new ways. And what happened? She helped me open my eyes to new ways of thinking, new possibilities, and I finally (though reluctantly) got out of my own way, sorting through my thoughts to take action and overcome an obstacle I was facing (hint: it was me!).
Stop spinning your wheels. Stop self-sabotaging. Stop pointing fingers.
Let’s journey inward together, so you can finally pursue what you want, what you deserve, and what you’re made for.
